Responsibilities:
· Kick of projects within the kitchen and home appliances industry (luxury segment)
· Evaluate product needs and specifications, establish project timelines and key milestones, and oversee all project phases
· Identify potential project risks and take steps to manage and mitigate risks
· Collaborate closely with manufacturing facilities to ensure timely and accurate information sharing including functions of engineering, design, quality control
· Monitor project progress and milestones regularly, collect latest report from factories, R&D and supply chain
· Manage project costs by studying market trends as well as production processes and sourcing strategies to optimize expenses
· Ensure products are made with appropriate materials, meet functional, aesthetic, and safety requirements, and pass required testing procedures
· Conduct audits and provide oversight of factories, including assessing quality systems, design and production capabilities
· Provide support for factory staff training and coaching
· Evaluate technical and after-sales issues to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction
Skills:
· Long-term working experience for international companies such as Apple, Whirlpool, SharkNinja, GE, Bosch, Electrolux, Smeg, etc. Background in project management and engineering high end-products
· Expertise in supplier management, negotiating prices and terms, conducting factory audits, quality control and obtaining relevant certifications
· Skilled in effective communication
· Strong mechanical engineering background with knowledge of manufacturing processes including molding, metal stamping/injection, forging, die-cutting, plastic injection, CNC machining, anodizing, drilling, lathe work, painting, silk screening, PCB SMT/assembly, packaging, and final assembly. Experience in home appliances and consumer electronics. Familiar with fixtures, testing, and laboratories for standards such as CB, UL, and CE
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and ERP systems
· Fluent English and Mandarin
Working conditions:
· Live (or relocate) in Shenzhen or nearby (Zhongshan, Dongguan)
